Appearance. SRM 40+; opaque jet black. Features a dense, deep tan head with moderate retention and significant lacing. High viscosity is visible as legs on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa powder, and sweet vanilla marshmallow. Secondary notes of roasted coffee, toasted bread, and subtle dark fruit esters like plum. Hop aroma is very low and earthy.
Taste. Initial impression is sweet and dessert-forward. Rich chocolate fudge and creamy marshmallow flavors meld with a moderate roasted malt bitterness (approx. 50 IBU) that prevents the beer from being cloying. The finish is moderately sweet and lingering with a velvety cocoa aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, gentle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, contributing to a creamy mouth-coating sensation.
