Glacier is a refreshing Cold IPA that bridges the gap between a crisp lager and a punchy American IPA. Brewed with rice and fermented cold with lager yeast, it presents a brilliantly clean canvas for a modern hop duo. Talus provides vibrant citrus and pink grapefruit notes, while Nelson Sauvin introduces sophisticated hints of crushed white grapes and gooseberry. The result is an exceptionally crushable, lean-bodied beer with a snappy bitterness and a bone-dry finish. Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (4-6 SRM). Brilliantly clear with a medium-sized, persistent bright white head leaving moderate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by white wine grapes, gooseberry, and fresh pink grapefruit. Subtle floral undertones of rose and dried sage from the Talus hops. Very low, clean, cracker-like maltiness with a neutral, ester-free fermentation profile.
Taste. Crisp initial impression of citrus pith and white currants. Talus delivers layers of grapefruit and resin, while Nelson Sauvin provides a distinct vinous grape character. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a lean platform for the medium-high bitterness. Finishes bone-dry and clean with a lingering, snappy hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a very crisp, lean texture. High carbonation enhances the refreshing, crushable nature. No alcohol warmth or astringency.
