This West Coast Triple IPA presents an intense aromatic landscape driven by a massive quartet of hops. Citra and Simcoe lead with a bold interplay of resinous pine and bright citrus zest, while Amarillo and Cryopop layers provide delicate floral notes and a punch of tropical stone fruit. At 10% ABV, the sensory experience is powerful yet remarkably clean, showcasing a lean malt profile that allows the hop saturation to remain the focal point. Expect a bracing, classic bitterness that lingers against a dry finish, capturing the Evergreen spirit through deep forest resins and sun-ripened fruit complexity.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale copper (7-10 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High to intense hop aroma featuring prominent resinous pine and dank earthiness alongside bright grapefruit and lemon zest. Secondary notes of orange blossom and tropical stone fruit. Malt is very low and neutral, providing a clean, crackery background. Light, clean alcohol is present but not solventy.
Taste. Initial impression is a massive wave of hop flavor mirroring the aroma, with citrus peel and pine sap dominating. Bitterness is very high but well-sculpted, avoiding harshness. Low, supportive grainy malt character provides just enough structure. The finish is remarkably dry with a lingering, resinous, and hoppy aftertaste. Fruity esters are low and clean.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop oils. Carbonation is moderate-high. Noticeable and pleasant alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 10% strength without being hot or sharp.
