Tennessee Dice Roller is a decadent Imperial Stout that commands attention with its imposing 12.5% ABV and lush, dessert-forward profile. An opaque, midnight-black pour sets the stage for an aromatic intensity of dark chocolate, toasted almond, and creamy vanilla. The palate is a luxurious tapestry of espresso-like roast and bittersweet cocoa, where the almond provides a subtle marzipan-like depth against a backdrop of dark fruit esters. Despite its massive strength, the beer maintains a harmonious balance, finishing with a velvety smooth warmth and a lingering sweetness that accentuates the specialty ingredients without overwhelming the classic roasted character.
Appearance. SRM 40+. Jet black and completely opaque. Dense, deep tan head with moderate retention. Significant viscosity is apparent as heavy legs coat the glass upon swirling.
Aroma. High intensity. Bold aromas of dark chocolate and roasted coffee are layered with prominent sweet vanilla and a distinct nutty, toasted almond character. Subtle esters of black currant and prune emerge as it warms, alongside a clean, smooth alcohol presence.
Taste. Initial impression is rich and syrupy. Dominant flavors of bittersweet chocolate and espresso give way to sweet, creamy vanilla and a marzipan-like almond nuttiness. Firm bitterness provides necessary structure against the heavy malt backbone. The finish is long and warming with a lingering cocoa and vanilla aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Low carbonation enhances the creamy mouthfeel. Noticeable, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, avoiding any harshness.

A Stout a porter szárazabb, sötétebb, testesebb erősebb leszármazottja. Színben nagyon hasonlóak, a stoutokban azonban sokkal több a karamellizált pörkölt maláta és a kávés ízvilág, valamint édeskésebbek is. A stout szó első ismert használata egy 1677-ben keltezett, az Egerton Manuscripts-ban talált dokumentumban, amely a sör erősségére utal. 1721-ben használták először a porter nevet egy pörkölt malátával készült sötétbarna sör leírására. A porterek hatalmas népszerűsége miatt a sörfőzők többféle erősségben készítették őket. Az erősebb, jellemzően 7 vagy 8 %-os alkoholtartalmú söröket "stout porter"-nek nevezték, így a stout és a porter története és fejlődése összefonódott.
