Mac’s Brewing Apparition is a vibrant Hazy IPA that emphasizes a juicy fruit profile and a soft, approachable texture. The inclusion of rolled wheat creates a smooth, pillowy foundation, while light crystal malt provides a subtle, honeyed sweetness. A heavy-hitting hop bill of Citra and Mosaic delivers intense tropical and citrus aromas. The sensory experience is further elevated by a generous dry-hopping of Citra, El Dorado, and Amarillo, contributing layers of ripe mango, stone fruit, and bright orange zest. It balances a moderate, soft bitterness with a clean, fruit-forward finish that makes this 5.6% ABV beer exceptionally sessionable and refreshing.
Appearance. Pale gold (5-6 SRM). Distinctively hazy and opaque with a luminous quality. Features a dense, rocky white head with high retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a bouquet of tropical fruit like pineapple and mango, alongside bright citrus notes of grapefruit and lime. A supportive, lightly bready and grainy malt character exists in the background, with no noticeable alcohol or fermentation flaws.
Taste. Explosive hop flavors of peach, passionfruit, and sweet orange lead the palate. The malt is soft and bready, providing a balanced, off-dry platform for the hops. Bitterness is moderate and noticeably smooth, never harsh or resinous. The finish is clean and lingering with a citrus-heavy aftertaste.
