Candice is a delicate and aromatic Witbier that elevates the classic Belgian white ale tradition with a complex botanical bouquet. Poured with a characteristic milky haze from unmalted wheat, it presents a bright, straw-colored profile crowned by a pillowy white head. The aroma is a tapestry of zesty orange peel and lemony coriander, further layered with the floral softness of chamomile flowers and the crisp, piney accents of juniper berries. On the palate, a light bready malt base supports refreshing citrus flavors, while wood sorrel adds a subtle, refreshing tang. Effervescent and exceptionally easy-drinking, it finishes clean, crisp, and remarkably dry.
Appearance.Very pale straw color (SRM 2-3) with a distinct, milky opalescence from wheat starch. Topped by a dense, white, moussy head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma.Moderate intensity featuring bready, grainy wheat aromatics. High citrus-orange fruitiness is complemented by perfumy-lemony coriander. Complex herbal notes of chamomile and a faint resinous touch of juniper berries blend seamlessly with a low spicy yeast character.
Taste.Initial impression of soft, grainy malt and honeyed wheat. Refreshing flavors of zesty orange and herbal spice follow, with wood sorrel providing a light, lemony acidity. Hop bitterness is low and unobtrusive. The finish is very dry and clean without any harsh aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent mouthfeel. Refreshing and crisp with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
