Lumberbeard's Maple Goodness is a decadent American Barleywine that pushes the boundaries of the style through over a year of bourbon barrel aging. The sensory profile is dominated by rich, toasty malt and the divine influence of real maple syrup and vanilla. Aromas of charred oak, caramel, and woodsy maple lead into a palate where the style's characteristic hop bitterness is elegantly tempered by dense malty sweetness and smooth vanilla bean. At 15.5% ABV, it offers a powerful but velvety warmth. The extended aging softens the American hop resin, resulting in a contemplative, complex sipper defined by luxurious maple and lingering bourbon character.
Appearance. Deep copper with dark ruby highlights and excellent clarity. It displays noticeable legs when swirled in the glass. The light tan head is moderately low with limited retention, which is expected given the very high alcohol content and adjunct oils.

The finish is long and warming with a lingering maple and oak sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Alcohol warmth is significant and noticeable but remains smooth and well-integrated without solvent burn. Carbonation is low, enhancing the beer's substantial, viscous presence.
