This celebratory cuvée presents a profound sensory experience, born from a meticulous blend of Barleywine and Old Ale aged up to 35 months in spirit barrels. The aroma is a concentrated tapestry of toffee, dark muscovado sugar, and intense dried fruits like figs and medjool dates, underscored by the charred oak and vanilla of the diverse barrel treatment. On the palate, a massive malt density delivers flavors of rich caramel, molasses, and toasted walnuts, balanced by a sophisticated spirituous warmth. The extended maturation integrates the high alcohol into a velvety, decadent finish that lingers with notes of dark stone fruit and fine leather.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark reddish-brown (SRM 22+); nearly opaque. Very low, tan-colored head with minimal retention and thick, oily legs that coat the glass reflecting the high gravity.

Aroma. High intensity; decadent malt sweetness featuring toffee, treacle, and toasted bread. Pronounced esters of raisin, prune, and dried cherry. Strong spirit-barrel character with notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and bourbon-soaked wood. Alcohol is prominent but clean and integrated.

Taste. Initial impression of intense malty richness and dark sugar. Flavors of deep caramel, nutty toffee, and light chocolate evolve into a complex fruitiness of fig and date. High malt sweetness is countered by the drying tannins of the spirit barrels and a firm, smooth alcohol warmth. Finish is long and sweet with a lingering oak-driven spice.
