Fresh Hell presents a vibrant twist on the traditional Munich Helles, utilizing a malt-forward base to showcase the unique character of fresh, wet Lorien hops. The sensory experience is defined by the immediate Sprite-like citrus and floral notes of the Lorien variety, which offer a bright, lemon-lime lift over a backbone of grainy-sweet Munich malt. Served with the youthful vitality of a Keller-style lager, it balances a soft, rounded palate with a clean finish. This sessionable lager marries the delicate, bready depths of German tradition with the vivid, herbaceous freshness of Pacific Northwest hop harvesting.
Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3–4 SRM). Slightly hazy due to the short Keller-style lagering period, topped with a persistent, creamy white head and moderate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate grainy-sweet malt aroma with bready undertones. The highlight is a moderate to high fresh hop character, specifically showcasing Lorien with notes of lemon-lime citrus, wildflowers, and a faint herbal quality. Fermentation is very clean.
