Oatmeal Stout 13 º
This Imperial Stout represents a decadent marriage of spirit and spice, having spent nine months maturing in Irish Whiskey barrels. The 13% ABV foundation provides a massive, jet-black canvas for Toasted Coconut and Madagascan Vanilla to shine. Aromas of dark chocolate and charred oak give way to a palate rich with creamy oatmeal texture and spirit-forward warmth. The Irish Whiskey integration introduces notes of honeyed malt and vanilla bean, while the toasted coconut adds a tropical, nutty depth. It is a bold, full-bodied experience where the aggressive roasted malts are softened by the sweetness of the adjuncts and the smooth, lingering whiskey finish.
Appearance. SRM 40+; jet black and completely opaque. Pours with a thick, dark tan head with moderate retention that leaves oily legs on the glass due to the high alcohol content and viscosity.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of dark chocolate, espresso, and toasted coconut are layered over a base of rich Irish Whiskey. Secondary notes of Madagascan Vanilla and caramel mingle with dark fruit esters of plum and raisin, backed by a noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth and light oak.
Taste. An initial impression of bittersweet chocolate and toasted grain is quickly met by a wave of Madagascan Vanilla and sweet coconut. The mid-palate features a strong Irish Whiskey character with notes of honey and charred oak. Bitterness is moderate to high but balanced by the oatmeal-derived sweetness and adjuncts. The finish is long and warming with lingering notes of cocoa and spirit.
Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a chewy, velvety texture enhanced by the addition of flaked oats. Low to moderate carbonation. A significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, lacking any harsh solvent edges.

Al naso ed al palato i sentori predominanti sono quelli di vaniglia e cocco, ben bilanciati ed arricchiti da piacevoli ed avvolgenti note tostate di malto, cioccolato, sfumature di legno e lievi accenni alcolici di whisky. Perfetta per essere sorseggiata in tranquillità, la bevuta grazie all'avena avvolge il palato. Adatta all'invecchiamento.
