Lost Coast Brewery

Stargaze Wit is a luminously refreshing Witbier that captures the essence of a classic Belgian white ale. The use of Belgian Wit yeast introduces a delicate spice profile, perfectly complemented by the bright, zesty notes of orange peel and the perfumy, herbal lemony snap of coriander. The addition of rolled oats contributes a subtle smoothness to the grain bill, which features a soft, bready wheat base. Sterling hops provide a clean, low-intensity herbal backing that never overpowers the delicate aromatics. It finishes crisp and dry, offering a light, invigorating sweetness that highlights its effervescent and approachable character.

Appearance. Very pale straw (approx. 3 SRM) with a very cloudy, milky, whitish-yellow appearance from starch haze. Features a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bready malt and grainy, spicy wheat. Prominent perfumy-lemony coriander and zesty orange-citrus fruitiness are balanced by light honey notes and a very low spicy-herbal Sterling hop aroma.

Taste. Initial bready, grainy malt flavor followed by moderate zesty orange and citrus fruitiness. Herbal-spicy notes of lemony coriander are subtle and well-integrated. Low bitterness from Sterling hops supports the refreshing character. The finish is notably crisp and dry with no harsh aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, light creaminess provided by the rolled oats. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent character. Very refreshing with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
