Lords Brewing Co. Sanglier is a modern, sessionable take on an Ordinary Bitter, balancing traditional drinkability with vibrant hop character. The malt profile provides a delicate foundation of bready and biscuity notes, characteristic of its British heritage. However, the use of Citra and Southern Cross hops shifts the profile toward a more contemporary sensory experience, delivering a pronounced floral aroma and distinct layers of tropical fruit flavor. At a modest 4% ABV, it remains light on the palate, concluding with a gentle bitterness and a clean, dry finish that emphasizes refreshing simplicity over heavy complexity.
Appearance. Presents a pale amber to light copper color (8-12 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a low to moderate off-white head that shows moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a notable floral bouquet and hints of tropical fruit such as lychee and citrus from Citra and Southern Cross hops. Supporting malt notes of low toasted bread and biscuit are present, with very low fruity esters and no diacetyl.
