Quantum Cuddle Kitten is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an interstellar blend of Ella, Citra, and Galaxy hops. The sensory experience is dominated by an intense hop profile where tropical notes of passionfruit and peach from the Galaxy hops collide with the bright lime and grapefruit zest of Citra. Ella hops add a sophisticated layer of floral spice and subtle star anise. The malt remains a clean, supportive backdrop of grainy sweetness, allowing the hops to lead into a firm bitterness and a dry, lingering finish. At 7.8% ABV, it delivers a smooth, integrated warmth that enhances its drinkability.
Appearance. Deep gold to light copper color with a slight, acceptable haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with good lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, pineapple, and citrus zest. Subtle floral and spicy notes are present from the Ella hops. The malt character is neutral and grainy in the background, supported by a clean fermentation profile and a light, smooth alcohol presence.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of mango, lime, and grapefruit dominate the palate. The bitterness is firm and moderately high but lacks harshness. A low, clean, soft malt character supports the hops before a medium-dry finish that leaves a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste. Low fruity esters complement the tropical hop profile.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high. No harsh hop-derived astringency is present, and there is a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth consistent with its strength.
