Lluna Març Boc
This traditional Helles Bock showcases the depth achieved through a meticulous double decoction mash, resulting in a robust grainy-sweet malt backbone. Bright gold with a creamy white head, it offers an aroma of freshly toasted bread and light honey, complemented by a subtle, spicy floral hop presence. On the palate, the doughy richness of the malt is balanced by a moderate, clean bitterness that prevents the sweetness from becoming cloying. Despite its strength, the finish remains crisp and attenuated, embodying a classic Maibock character with a smooth, well-integrated lager profile and a sophisticated malt complexity.
Appearance. Deep gold color with brilliant clarity. Features a large, creamy, persistent white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to strong intensity of grainy-sweet malt with a distinctively toasted, bready quality derived from the decoction. Very low spicy and floral hop notes are present over a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Dominant flavors of bready, doughy, and lightly toasted malt provide a rich initial impression. Moderate hop bitterness provides balance, accompanied by low herbal and spicy hop flavors. The finish is well-attenuated and moderately dry, never cloying, with a lingering clean malt character.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture and no astringency. Carbonation is moderate to moderately-high. Presents a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
