Lluna Di nia presents as a vibrant American IPA that artfully integrates the essence of ecologic strawberries. The sensory journey begins with a bright interplay between classic hop profiles and the delicate, natural perfume of ripe berries. At 6% ABV, it strikes a balance between a refreshing character and the structural integrity of a standard IPA. The malt presence remains lean and supportive, allowing the berry notes to meld with citrus and floral hop accents. A clean fermentation profile ensures that the fruit remains expressive without cloying sweetness, finishing with the characteristic crisp bitterness and dryish profile expected of the style.
Appearance. Medium gold with a soft reddish-amber tint. Features a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing. Displays a slight haze, consistent with the addition of fresh fruit.
Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by the fragrance of fresh strawberries and citrusy hops. A low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a subtle foundation. The fermentation profile is very clean, allowing the fruit and hop-derived esters to shine without yeast-derived phenols.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of bright strawberry and grapefruit-like hop flavor. Medium-high bitterness balances a low, grainy malt presence with a touch of toast. The strawberry character is natural and integrates seamlessly with floral hop notes. It finishes medium-dry with a lingering, clean bitterness and a faint berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp and refreshing quality. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, with no perceived astringency.
