Python IPA presents a striking balance between traditional English IPA roots and a more aggressive "double-hopped" character. The sensory experience begins with an aromatic invitation of floral and spicy English hops, supported by a backbone of bready Pale ale malt and a hint of toffee. On the palate, the promised "bitter hiss" materializes as a firm, lingering bitterness that integrates seamlessly with rich, toasty malt flavors. This medium-bodied ale showcases a characteristic English yeast profile, offering subtle esters that complement the citrus-orange hop notes. It concludes with a crisp, dry finish, ensuring the powerful malty depth never overpowers the hop-forward intent.
Appearance. Deep golden to amber (SRM 8–12) with brilliant clarity. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with good lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high hop intensity featuring floral, spicy, and citrus-orange notes. Moderate bready and biscuity malt character with a light toasty or caramel-like sweetness and low fruity esters.
Taste. Assertive hop bitterness with medium-high hop flavors of wildflowers and black pepper. The malt profile is medium, showing bready, toasted, and light toffee flavors. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, yet smooth, hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, contributing to a dry sensation. A light, subtle alcohol warmth is present at 6% ABV.
