This 2022 vintage is a sophisticated homage to orange wine, crafted from organic Bisquet apples and wild-fermented before a year-long maturation in neutral French oak. The sensory profile is remarkably complex, opening with an aromatic bouquet of peach fuzz, sweet incense, and a rustic touch of old leather. On the palate, the experience is soft and plush, overflowing with succulent stone fruits including apricot and yellow plums, alongside ripe cantaloupe melon. These bright notes are grounded by a rugged, earthy orchard character, subtle nutmeg spice, and citrus oil, finishing with a structural tannin grip that beautifully captures the essence of the whole apple.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber with orange highlights (SRM 8-12). Brilliant clarity with a very fine, short-lived white collar and minimal lacing.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. Dominant stone fruit notes of apricot and peach are layered with wild fermentation characteristics of sweet incense and aged leather. Subtle nutmeg spice and a hint of citrus zest provide further depth against a background of woody French oak.

Taste. Initial impression is of juicy, ripe fruit—yellow plum and cantaloupe—transitioning into a more rugged, earthy mid-palate. Subtle nutmeg and citrus oil flavors are present. The finish is dry and lingering, showcasing the natural tannins of the Bisquet apple and a complex, cider-apple character. Acidity is balanced and bright.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, plush, and rounded texture. Low to moderate carbonation. A noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, accompanied by a light, pleasant tannic astringency that provides structure.

They say Egremont Russet is the Chardonnay of the apple world, and it's hard to deny its vinous similarity! This single variety is from the stunning 2022 harvest. Unlike the last vintage of Egremont Russet purely as a single variety this hasn't had the influence of any oak barrels and was fermented only in stainless steel tanks for a cider reflecting the true terroir and character of this fine apple.

Pale lemon in the glass with a gorgeously fragrant nose of jasmine flowers, honey and sugared almonds. The opulence and purity of the vintage is truly dazzling. Super succulent fruit around a core of fine, ripe acid. White peach, melon rind, anise and crystallised lemon peel with a sweet floral perfume playing through it from beginning to end. Alc. 8.4% vol.

A single variety, spontaneously fermented cider made with late harvested Bisquet, a bitter-sweet apple known for its phenolic qualities. Towards the end of fermentation the cider was racked into neutral French oak barrels for a year long élevage. The result is intensely fruity & juicy, bursting with peach fuzz, sweet incense and a touch of old leather on the nose, dripping with sweet, ripe fruit – apricot, yellow plums, cantaloupe melon – all underpinned by something more earthbound and rugged that speaks of the orchard in autumn. There’s a little citrus oil here too, plus nutmeg spice, and subtle tannins.
