Freak Out! by Liquid Light is a refreshing interpretation of a Berliner Weisse, elevated by the addition of fresh watermelon juice. The beer leads with a clean, sharp lactic sourness that is elegantly softened by the succulent, natural sweetness of the fruit. Beneath the watermelon, a foundation of bready wheat malt provides a subtle, doughy complexity reminiscent of sourdough. The sensory experience is bright and effervescent, showcasing a crisp acidity that defines the style. Appearance. Straw to very pale gold (2-4 SRM) with a slight haze from the wheat and fruit additions; produces a large, white, fizzy head with poor retention and minimal lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high sharp lactic sourness dominates, layered with a distinct, natural watermelon fruitiness. Background notes of raw bread dough and light lemon citrus are present; hop aroma is absent.
