Lindemans/ Mikkeller Spontanbasil es una cerveza lámbica fruto de la colaboración entre los belgas Lindemans y los daneses Mikkeller. Se elabora mediante la mezcla de albahaca fresca con cerveza lámbic de uno o dos años de edad fermentada en barriles de roble. Además se realiza una segunda fermentación en botella. El resultado es una cerveza lámbic de gran carácter, muy aromática, cítrica y herbal.
Color ámbar con reflejos anaranjados y espuma fina y persistente de color blanco. Aroma cítrico, frutal y herbal con gran presencia de la albahaca. Sabor ácido típico de las lámbicas mezclado con notas herbales a albahaca y cítricas a limón.
Brouwerij Lindemans es una empresa familiar situada en la ciudad de Vlezenbeek, al suroeste de Bruselas, que lleva elaborando cerveza lámbica desde el 1822,es una de las fábricas de cerveza lámbica más prestigiosas del mundo entero.
Mikkeller Microcervecería fundada por el profesor de instituto Mikkel Borg Bjergsø y el periodista Kristian Klarup Keller en Copenhague en el 2006. Esta compañía era de carácter nómada en sus orígenes, ya que usaban las instalaciones de otras cervecerías para elaborar cervezas experimentales en pequeños lotes y de tirada única. En la actualidad, Mikkeler es todo un referente del panorama de la cerveza artesanal y la compañía posee dos cervecerías en los Estados Unidos y otra en Copenhague.

SpontanBasil combines the sourness of lambic with the aromas and flavours of fresh basil. Complex tart and well-balanced taste with a nice crisp, dry and tart finish. A blend of 1 to 2 year-old lambic fermented on oak with fresh basil herb. Young lambic still countains enough yeast and sugars to continue to ferment in the bottle. This process produces carbon dioxide, resulting in a slightly carbonated beer with a nice foam. Due to the second fermentation process in the bottle, its shelf life is the same as that of a good bottle of wine; the taste will develop and mature with time. Bottles can be stored in a cellar lying on their sides.
