Lincoln Green Archer presents as a vibrant American IPA that punches well above its 4% strength. This blonde ale is defined by a bold trio of USA hops, delivering an intense sensory profile of zesty grapefruit, tropical mango, and a hint of resinous pine. While sessionable in strength, it offers a surprising amount of body that provides a sturdy, crackery malt foundation to balance the assertive bitterness. The fermentation character is exceptionally clean, allowing the pungent citrus and evergreen notes of the USA hops to remain the focal point through to a crisp, dry, and refreshingly bitter finish.
Appearance. Pale gold to medium blonde (SRM 4-6). Crystal clear with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma characterized by bright citrus zest, tropical fruit, and resinous pine. A low, clean, grainy-sweet malt scent supports the hops. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Bold hop flavors of grapefruit, passionfruit, and pine dominate. A low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a supportive backbone. Bitterness is medium-high and clean, leading to a dry finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body, which is surprisingly full for the ABV, with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel with no astringency or alcohol warmth.
