This American IPA presents a bold, citrus-forward profile driven by the interplay of Cascade, Amarillo, and Warrior hops. Amarillo contributes distinct notes of sweet orange and ripe peach, while Cascade provides a classic grapefruit and floral backbone. Warrior ensures a clean, assertive bitterness that cuts through a light, bready malt foundation. At 6.8% ABV, the beer offers a balanced strength that supports the vibrant hop character without overwhelming the palate. The sensory experience is bright and aromatic, leading to a crisp, dry finish characteristic of the style, making it a punchy yet approachable hop-forward ale.
Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light copper (8-12 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and moderate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, orange peel, and floral notes. A light, clean, grainy maltiness provides a supportive base. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters and no detectable alcohol heat.
Taste. High hop flavor echoes the aroma with vibrant citrus, peach, and floral characters. Medium-high bitterness is clean and sharp, backed by a low, bready malt profile and a hint of toast. The balance is decidedly hop-forward, finishing dry with a lingering, pleasant bitterness and crisp aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel. A very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no harshness or astringency.
