This American Pale Ale delivers a modern sensory experience defined by a vibrant fruit profile. Intensely aromatic, it leads with pungent notes of passionfruit and ripe strawberry, underpinned by a distinct, slightly earthy blackcurrant character. The neutral, grainy malt bill remains supportive rather than center-stage, allowing the berry and tropical hop-derived notes to shine. Despite a slightly elevated strength, the beer maintains a crisp, approachable balance with a clean finish. It exemplifies the contemporary evolution of the style, where bold New World hop characteristics take precedence over traditional caramel malt influences, resulting in a refreshing and aromatically complex profile.
Appearance. Pale golden to deep amber (6–9 SRM). Features a moderately large, off-white head with good retention and delicate lacing. Clarity is generally quite clear.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical and berry notes of passionfruit and strawberry, with a secondary blackcurrant musk. Malt character is low and neutral-grainy, providing a clean foundation. Fermentation profile is clean with very low yeast esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with prominent passionfruit and strawberry flavors. A moderate to high bitterness provides structure without being harsh. Malt flavors are low, appearing as light bread or toasted grain. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering berry-like hop aftertaste and a clean fermentation character.
