Les Intenables - Craft Beer -

Monster Squish is a quintessential West Coast IPA that delivers a punchy, resinous experience. Utilizing Centennial Cryo and Amarillo Cryo, the beer explodes with classic grapefruit zest, pine needles, and vibrant orange marmalade. The addition of Vista hops softens the edges with notes of ripe peach and honeydew melon. A lean, pale malt base allows these specific hops to shine, leading into a bracing, clean bitterness that defines the style. Crystal clear with a snappy, dry finish, this DDH American IPA balances old-school resin with modern stone fruit aromatics, making it a refreshing yet assertive example of the style.

Appearance. Medium gold to deep gold (SRM 6-8). Brilliant clarity with a persistent, medium-sized, off-white head that leaves dense, sticky lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring assertive grapefruit, pine resin, and orange blossom from the Centennial and Amarillo. Subtler notes of peach and melon emerge from the Vista hops. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt provides a neutral background. Fermentation profile is very clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Strong hop flavors of citrus rind, pine, and stone fruit dominate the palate. The malt is low and clean, suggestive of crackers or light toast, providing just enough support for the high bitterness. The bitterness is firm and crisp but not harsh. The finish is very dry and medium-dry with a lingering, clean, hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, enhancing the dry finish. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any astringency.
