This Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory journey defined by its extensive maturation in Australian Dark Rum barrels. Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (SRM 40). Pours with a thick, deep tan head that shows moderate retention, eventually settling into a persistent collar. Highly viscous, exhibiting slow-moving legs on the glass upon swirling.

Aroma. High intensity and deeply complex. Dominant notes of bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee meld with a powerful rum-derived bouquet of vanilla, toasted coconut, and spicy oak. Subtle esters of dark raisins and prunes are present alongside a noticeable but smooth alcohol presence and rich toffee sweetness.

Taste. Initial impression of intense dark chocolate and toasted malt gives way to a mid-palate rich with caramel and vanilla.
