Lervig and Brewski’s collaboration presents a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that bridges Norwegian tradition and tropical intensity. Fermented with Norwegian Kveik yeast, the sensory profile is dominated by an explosion of ripe, succulent mango, supported by the yeast’s signature citrus and stone fruit esters. Creamy vanilla notes weave through the aroma, providing a marshmallow-soft counterpoint to the sharp lactic acidity. At 8% ABV, the beer carries a substantial presence without losing its refreshing edge. This fruited sour offers a complex interplay of tart tropical fruit, creamy sweetness, and a clean, tangy finish that showcases the unique Kveik fermentation culture.

Appearance. Deep, hazy orange to sun-drenched gold with a vibrant glow. Pours with a thin, off-white head that dissipates quickly due to the high acidity and fruit oil content, leaving light, transient lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Pungent fresh mango puree leads, followed by a secondary layer of aromatic vanilla. The Norwegian Kveik yeast contributes bright orange and peach esters. A clean, sharp lactic tartness provides a refreshing backbone, free from any acetic or funky characteristics.

Taste. Initial punch of tart mango and tropical acidity. The middle palate is softened by a creamy vanilla character that adds perceived sweetness without being cloying. Malt presence is minimal, providing a neutral cracker-like base. Bitterness is essentially absent. The finish is briskly acidic and dry, with a lingering mango skin and vanilla bean aftertaste.

This strain is known for its vibrant mango and exotic fruit flavour profile which perfectly complement the 1100kg Alphonso mango puree we added. The Indonesian vanilla accents the fruit and yeast profile to counterbalance the sourness of the base beer. It’s a tropical Scandinavian smoothie!
