This Imperial Stout offers an opulent sensory landscape, shaped by extensive aging in rum, bourbon, and maple barrels. The initial impression is dominated by decadent layers of chocolate and marshmallow, underscored by a toasted coconut sweetness. Distinctive blue raspberry notes provide a surprising fruity lift against a backdrop of roasted coffee and dark malts. The barrel-aging contribution is profound, weaving threads of rich vanilla, woody oak, and sticky maple syrup into the complex profile. It is a velvet-textured experience where the high alcohol is seamlessly integrated, delivering a warming, indulgent finish that balances confection-like sweetness with deep, charred grain depth.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (40+ SRM). Pours with a thin, persistent deep tan head and visible oily legs that cling to the glass, reflecting high viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. A rich dessert bouquet of dark chocolate, toasted coconut, and sweet marshmallow is layered over spicy bourbon, molasses-rich rum, and earthy maple. Subtle roasted coffee notes and a unique, slightly tart berry ester provide depth.

Taste. Intense and dessert-like. Initial flavors of milk chocolate and vanilla marshmallow are balanced by espresso-like roast and charred oak tannins. Mid-palate reveals sweet maple syrup and toasted coconut. Moderate bitterness is present but largely masked by the high residual sweetness and malt density. The finish is long, sweet, and warming.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and syrupy with a luscious, chewy, and velvety texture. Low carbonation. Significant but smooth alcohol warmth that provides a comforting glow without harshness.
