This 2017 vintage English Barley Wine presents a profound, matured profile defined by its extended rest in Bourbon barrels. A decadent backbone of rich caramel and toffee malts intertwines with oxidative notes of tawny port and dried figs. The year of barrel aging introduces sophisticated layers of toasted oak, sweet vanilla, and a whisper of coconut, beautifully tempering the massive 12.9% ABV. While the initial English hop bitterness has softened into a gentle, earthy depth, the beer retains a luscious, chewy texture.
