This Hazy Pale Ale, brewed as an Alternative Grain Beer to be gluten-free, showcases a vibrant hop profile featuring Mosaic and Riwaka. The aroma is dominated by intense tropicality, led by ripe mango and golden kiwifruit, followed by a complex layer of huckleberry and stone fruit. On the palate, Mosaic delivers its signature berry-forward character while late-harvested Riwaka adds a unique touch of coconut and tropical zest. The alternative grain base provides a subtle bready foundation, supporting a soft, pillowy texture. With a low bitterness and a juicy, clean finish, this beer exemplifies a modern, fruit-forward hop expression.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (3-5 SRM). Opaque, heavy haze with a thick, white, mousse-like head showing excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Pronounced notes of mango, golden kiwifruit, and huckleberry. Secondary layers of peach, apricot, and a distinct hint of coconut. Low bready and grainy malt character from alternative fermentables. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical mango and kiwi. The middle reveals huckleberry and stone fruit complexity with a subtle, creamy coconut note. Low bitterness provides balance without being harsh. Malt flavor is lightly grainy and bready, finishing juicy and off-dry with a lingering berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, creamy, and slightly viscous texture. Moderate carbonation. Very low astringency and no perceptible alcohol warmth.
