Product DetailsGreen-Hopped English Pale Ale.To celebrate the harvest at its fullest & freshest, we've joined with our good friends at Tiley's to make a traditional English Pale ale.It boasts a kettle full of fresh green hops, picked off the bines in the Garden of England only a day before. Though a new producer to us, Hukins Hops have been farming in the Kent Weald for a century and that dedication is evident down to the individual hop cone.These crops of Challenger & Cascade are classic examples of their breed; rich in orange peel and sweet lychee with a crisp, structured bitterness and hovering overtones of fresh flowers and spicy cedar. All this sits on a base of traditionally floor-malted Maris Otter, from Warminster maltings, with some amber & light crystal added for a toasty biscuit character.Using Wet Hops may be more labour on brew day but the cones have not undergone any kilning or drying, meaning all their lighter, more delicate oils, usually sacrificed for shelf-stability, are not lost between bine and boil; a perfect way to celebrate the harvest and early autumn.Floral, Green Tea & Sweet Tangerine.

LEFT HANDED GIANT - In 2014, a man named Rich Poole walked into Small Bar, Bristol, and handed some beer over to Bruce Gray and Jack Granger. This began a brewing journey that started on a 200L kit through the back of that same bar, before developing into a cuckoo brewery operation known as Left Handed Giant.Our own physical brewery operation began in 2017, before raising more than £1m from the local community via Crowdcube to build the beating heart of our business, a brewpub overlooking the floating harbour in the centre of Bristol, which opened in 2019. We now operate over 2 brewing sites, producing around 4000 hL of beer annually, sold through independent pubs, bars and bottle shops with the majority straight to tap through our Finzels Reach Brewpub, our St Philips Tap Room and still, from where it all began at Small Bar. We are proudly a Founder, Employee and Community owned business. We are owned and operated by the people who work in and use our premises, and drink our beer. We have 1500 shareholders in our small company, with more than 80% of them having BS postcodes.

Their delicate oils - untouched by drying or kilning - lend a depth and freshness that captures the essence of early autumn. Built on a base of traditionally floor-malted Maris Otter from ???????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????, with a touch of amber and light crystal for a toasty, biscuit character, ????????????????????????’???? ???????????????? balances floral brightness, green tea smoothness, and a sweet tangerine finish.
