A distinct light chocolate character from the specialty malts is present, complemented by a light earthy and floral hop presence from the First Gold and Willamette. Low fruity esters are noticeable but secondary to the malt.

Taste. Initial impression is of gentle malt sweetness with layers of caramel, toasted nuts, and soft chocolate. Hop flavor is low, providing an earthy and slightly spicy counterpoint. Bitterness is medium-low, keeping the balance malt-focused but never cloying.
