Le Prospecteur

This American IPA presents a vibrant sensory tapestry where modern hop varieties meet northern botanicals. The aromatic profile is led by the tropical berry notes of Mosaic, the distinctive white grape and gooseberry of Nelson Sauvin, and the bright lime zest of Citra. A soft infusion of wild mint provides a cooling herbal breeze that artfully complements the sharp, zesty punch of grapefruit essential oil. The experience is exceptionally refreshing, featuring a veiled, straw-gold appearance and a firm bitterness that transitions into a clean, resinous finish with a lingering, cool herbal aftertaste perfect for a post-hike reward.

Appearance. Pale gold (SRM 5) with a veiled, hazy clarity. Crowned by a medium-sized, persistent white head with fine-beaded lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent passion fruit, mango, and white grape. A distinct, soft wild mint scent provides a refreshing herbal layer, while grapefruit oil adds a sharp, pithy citrus top note over a low, grainy-sweet malt background.

Taste. Initial burst of tropical fruit and citrus. Flavors of blueberry and stone fruit are prominent, followed by a sophisticated vinous character. The mid-palate introduces a refreshing grapefruit tang and a gentle herbal mintiness. Bitterness is firm and clean, supporting a dry to medium-dry finish with a lingering citrus peel and cool herbal aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated; no harshness or astringency.
