This Hazy IPA showcases the distinct terroir of the Nelson Lakes region through a 100% Nelson Sauvin hopping regimen. Collaboratively brewed by Le Ketch and Third Moon, it pours with a characteristically opaque, luminous glow. The sensory profile is dominated by the hallmark aromatics of that specific hop variety, bursting with ripe mango and bright grapefruit. A sophisticated undercurrent of Sauvignon Blanc grape provides a vinous elegance characteristic of high-quality Nelson Sauvin. The 6.5% ABV is perfectly integrated into a soft, pillowy body that delivers an intense juice-like experience with a smooth, restrained bitterness and a clean, fruity finish.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold with an opaque, luminous haze. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring sweet mango, zesty grapefruit, and a distinctive Sauvignon Blanc grape character. Supported by a light, bready, grainy malt backbone and fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. High intensity fruity hop flavor echoing the aroma with tropical mango and crushed white grapes. A mid-palate of grapefruit adds a refreshing citrus edge. Malt remains supportive with a soft, bready character. Bitterness is low to medium-low and smooth, leading to an off-dry, lingering fruity finish.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, pillowy body with a soft, smooth mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any astringency or raw starchiness.
