L.B.F. - La Brasserie Fondamentale L.B.F Triple

This Belgian Tripel presents a sophisticated and seamless bouquet, balancing vibrant spicy phenols with delicate fruity esters. Aromas of cracked black pepper and clove intermingle with bright notes of lemon zest and orange peel, supported by a soft, honey-like malt foundation. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable, offering a medium-light body and high effervescence that scrubs the palate. The flavor profile mirrors the nose, leading with grainy-sweet malt before transitioning into a firm bitterness and a remarkably dry, crisp finish. It is a deceptively smooth ale where subtle alcohol warmth only emerges as a gentle, spicy glow.
Appearance. Deep yellow to pale gold (5-6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with high effervescence. Features a long-lasting, creamy, rocky white head that leaves characteristic Belgian lace on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity with a complex marriage of peppery and clove-like phenols alongside citrusy esters of orange and lemon. Low floral hop character sits behind a soft, grainy-sweet malt profile with hints of honey.
Taste. Initial impressions of soft, grainy malt are quickly overtaken by spicy yeast phenols and citrus fruitiness. Medium-high bitterness is accentuated by a very dry finish. Flavors are well-integrated with no lingering sweetness, ending with a crisp, spicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, appearing lighter than the gravity suggests. Highly carbonated and effervescent. Alcohol warmth is deceptively low and well-integrated, providing a smooth, warming sensation without harshness.
