This celebratory Milkshake IPA presents a vibrant, opaque reddish-purple hue from the addition of cassis, departing from the typical straw color of a Hazy IPA. The aroma is a potent fusion of tart blackcurrant and rich vanilla bean, supported by tropical hop notes of mango and citrus. On the palate, the sharp, jammy fruit character of the cassis is softened by the creamy sweetness of vanilla and likely lactose, creating a dessert-like profile. The hop bitterness is purposefully restrained to enhance the smoothie-like drinkability. It finishes with a lingering berry tartness and a velvety, medium-full mouthfeel that expertly integrates the 6.5% alcohol.

Appearance. Hazy to opaque with a distinct reddish-pink to deep purple tint (SRM 12-16) from the cassis. Supports a dense, mousse-like pinkish-white head with high retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant tart blackcurrant (cassis) and sweet, creamy vanilla. Secondary notes of tropical fruit and citrus hops provide a juicy backbone. Clean, bready malt is present but subtle.

Taste. Initial burst of tart berry fruit followed by a smooth, creamy vanilla mid-palate. Low to medium-low hop bitterness. Malt flavors resemble sweet dough or flour. Finishes off-dry with a lingering blackcurrant skin character and soft hop fruitiness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, smooth, and rounded texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light alcohol warmth. Absence of harshness or fruit-derived astringency.
