Laugar / De Molen Wet & Wild

Wet and Wild is an Imperial Russian Stout with mushrooms for this collaboration between Laugar and De Molen. Deep black, with a short-lived tiny dark tan head. Nose has a lot of chocolate, dark cherry and roasted malts, but also undertones of earthy mushrooms, roasted hazelnuts, truffles, smoke and some black pepper. Taste is umami and sweet, with tons roasted chocolate malts, dark chocolate mixed with dark cherry bits, creamy dark coffee, caramel, and some hints of dark licorice, mixed with soy, mushrooms and truffles. A great dessert-type richness, without being too sweet, spiced with some exotic fragrances. Full bodied and tannic in the end.
