Road To Nowhere is a modern American IPA crafted with a soft, cloud-like hazy character. Utilizing thiol-releasing yeast to maximize aromatic potential, this beer showcases a vibrant hop trifecta from the 2024 harvest. High-impact Citra and Mosaic deliver layers of ripe mango and bright citrus, while the custom Mega Terps blend—featuring Southern Cross, Motueka, and Rakau—adds intense tropical stone fruit and lime zest. Despite its soft mouthfeel, it maintains the essential hoppy drive of the style, balancing a gentle, grainy malt base against a wave of lush, juice-forward complexity and a clean, refreshing finish.
Appearance. Medium gold with a dense, cloud-like haze; opaque and unfiltered. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity featuring punchy mango, pineapple, and stone fruit. Bright citrus notes of lime and grapefruit are prominent, supported by a low, clean, grainy maltiness. Light fruity esters from the thiol-active yeast complement the hop-forward profile.
Taste. Initial burst of juicy tropical fruit and lime. Flavors of peach and passion fruit dominate the mid-palate, supported by a subtle, bready malt backbone. While displaying the characteristic hop-forward balance of the style, the bitterness is moderate and well-integrated rather than harsh. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering citrus and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notably smooth, creamy, and soft texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle lift without prickle. Very light, smooth warmth with no astringency.
