This refreshing Belgian Single is designed for long sessions, offering a vibrant sensory profile despite its sessionable strength. The aroma is a bright collision of Belgian yeast esters and modern hop punch, featuring distinct notes of pineapple from Bru-1 and zesty citrus from Amarillo. A foundation of soft, crackery malt supports a complex hop bouquet, where Mosaic adds layers of tropical fruit and subtle berry. On the palate, a crisp, dry finish meets firm bitterness, characteristic of the style but elevated by contemporary hops. It is a light, effervescent table beer that balances spicy yeast phenols with a lingering, fruit-forward hop character.
Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3-4 SRM). As an unfiltered and unfined ale, it presents with a persistent slight haze. Topped by a voluminous, billowy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominant tropical fruit notes of pineapple and mango from Bru-1 and Mosaic, alongside bright orange zest from Amarillo. This is underpinned by a classic Belgian yeast profile of spicy black pepper and clove. Low malt presence of fresh crackers and grain.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and highly attenuated. Light, grainy-sweet malt palate with hints of honeyed biscuit. Moderate to high bitterness is immediately apparent, leading into a dry, hoppy finish. Flavors of tropical stone fruit and citrus zest mingle with spicy yeast phenols. Clean, bitter, and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body, reflective of its session strength. High carbonation provides a lively, prickly sensation on the tongue. No perceptible alcohol warmth. Smooth and exceptionally refreshing.
