American IPA 6.5 º
This modern West Coast American IPA showcases a vibrant blend of New Zealand hops, delivering a striking sensory profile. The combination of The Bruce, Super Sauvin, Mighty Motueka, and Nelson Kief yields a complex layering of zesty citrus, crushed gooseberry, and intense tropical notes like passionfruit and mango. These bold flavors are firmly anchored by a clean, resinous pine character and a supportive, grainy malt backbone. It pours with a bright gold hue and finishes remarkably crisp and dry, emphasizing a firm, lingering bitterness that invites another sip while remaining refreshingly clean and bright.
Appearance. Medium gold to light amber (approx. 7 SRM). White, persistent head with moderate lacing. Unfiltered and unfined, presenting a very light haze while remaining largely translucent.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of lime zest, Sauvignon Blanc grape, and ripe passionfruit. Underlying layers of resinous pine and subtle crushed herbs are supported by a low, clean, grainy malt presence. Fermentation is very clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Intense hop-forward profile led by grapefruit pith, lime, and tropical melon. Medium-high bitterness is sharp but clean, cutting through a light, toasted cracker malt base. The finish is dry and resinous with a long-lasting aftertaste of citrus peel and pine needles.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 6.5% ABV.
