This German Pilsner presents a masterclass in balance, offering a refined return to brewing foundations. The experience begins with a striking effervescence that drives a bouquet of herbal and spicy noble hops. Against a backdrop of clean, grainy Pilsner malt, the beer delivers a crisp, dry profile punctuated by a soft yet persistent bitterness. The biting carbonation cleanses the palate, making it exceptionally refreshing. It is a quintessential lager where the delicate interplay of toasted cracker notes and floral hop character creates a harmonious, thirst-quenching finish, anchored by a thick, resilient, and generous white head.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (2-4 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves persistent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to moderately-high hop intensity featuring herbal, spicy, and light floral notes. Supporting malt aroma is low to medium, reminiscent of grainy-sweet crackers and fresh dough. Very clean fermentation profile without esters.
Taste. Initial light grainy malt sweetness is rapidly overtaken by a firm hop bitterness. Flavors of spicy noble hops and toasted bread are prominent. The balance is decidedly bitter and crisp, leading into a very dry, clean finish with a lingering minerally snap in the aftertaste.
