Labrador Brewing’s NPMS DDH DIPA is an intensely aromatic Double IPA that balances significant strength with high drinkability. Utilizing a vigorous double dry hop of American hops, the profile bursts with tropical sensations of creamy coconut and ripe pineapple alongside lush stone fruit. The inclusion of wheat provides a soft, hazy texture and a supportive body that carries the 8.1% ABV effortlessly. While the bitterness is firm and characteristic of the style, it remains smooth, allowing the vibrant hop character to lead into a clean, lingering finish. This is a modern, fruit-forward interpretation where hop saturation meets a refined, pillowy mouthfeel.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM) with a persistent, off-white head. The beer exhibits a noticeable haze attributable to the use of wheat, with moderate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of coconut, pineapple, and stone fruits like peach. A neutral, grainy malt character sits in the background, complemented by a clean fermentation profile and a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical fruit and stone fruit hop flavors. A moderately high bitterness provides necessary balance but remains smooth and free of harshness. A soft, supportive malt character from the wheat leads into a medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle, restrained alcohol warmth is present, providing a pleasant glow without being solventy.
