Flamingo is a bold Hazy IPA that showcases an intense tropical profile through a double dry-hopping of Citra and Galaxy. It pours a hazy, glowing straw color with a dense, meringue-like white head. The aroma is dominated by a saturated bouquet of passion fruit, peach, and bright citrus zest, underpinned by a soft, bready malt foundation. On the palate, the Galaxy hops provide lush waves of pineapple and stone fruit, while the Citra contributes a clean grapefruit finish. Despite its 7.7% ABV, the mouthfeel remains remarkably smooth and pillowy, with a restrained bitterness that highlights the juicy, hop-forward character typical of the style.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (approx. 5-6 SRM) with an opaque, hazy shine. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and persistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of passion fruit, mango, and peach from Galaxy, alongside citrusy lime and grapefruit from Citra. Background notes of neutral, grainy, and bready malt with no caramel or toast; clean fermentation with a very light alcohol note.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor of pineapple, citrus pith, and stone fruit. Low malt flavor with a neutral, bready character. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and well-integrated. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy hop aftertaste devoid of harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 7.7% ABV, without any astringency.
