NEIPA - New England IPA 6.5 º
This Hazy IPA showcases a singular expression of the Strata hop, delivering an intense sensory profile defined by multi-layered fruitiness. Poured with a characteristic golden glow, it opens with a massive aromatic punch of passion fruit, ripe strawberry, and a distinct dank, herbal undertone typical of this variety. On the palate, the hop-forward character persists with notes of ruby red grapefruit and tropical melon, supported by a soft, bready malt base. The double dry-hopping ensures a saturated flavor experience while maintaining the style’s signature velvety mouthfeel and restrained bitterness, finishing with a lingering, juicy fruit essence.
Appearance. Color is a hazy, opaque straw to light orange (approx. 4-6 SRM). It features a medium to rocky, meringue-like white head with very high retention and consistent lacing.
Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by tropical fruit, passion fruit, and strawberry notes with a supporting dank, resinous edge. Background malt is clean, neutral, and lightly bready; no caramel or toast is present.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical fruit and citrus. High hop flavor mirrors the aroma with passion fruit and berry. Malt flavor is low and grainy-sweet. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low, well-masked by the body. The finish is off-dry and smooth without any hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no detectable astringency or raw starch character.
