La Superbe MALTZUR is a vibrant and modern American IPA that leans into the West Coast tradition of clarity and crispness. The sensory profile is dominated by a bold double dry-hopped character, showcasing the intense stone fruit and pineapple notes of Nectaron. Classic Centennial provides a grounding layer of resinous pine and citrus peel, while Mosaic adds a complex dimension of blueberry and tropical fruit. At 7% ABV, it maintains a clean, lean malt structure that allows the high bitterness to remain sharp and refreshing, leading into a bone-dry, hop-focused finish that lingers with resin and fruit skin.
Appearance. Deep gold color (approx. 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, frothy white head that exhibits excellent persistence and leaves dense, sticky lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring punchy nectarine, peach, and tropical pineapple from Nectaron. This is supported by classic floral pine and grapefruit from Centennial, plus a hint of earthy berry from Mosaic. Low, clean, crackery maltiness and a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Leading with a sharp, clean bitterness, the flavor delivers intense waves of peach, resinous pine, and citrus zest. A very low, grainy malt sweetness provides just enough body to support the hops before being overtaken by a high, lingering bitterness. The finish is very dry and crisp with a clean aftertaste of hop resins.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation enhances the dry finish. A very subtle, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no hop-derived astringency.
