La Superbe

This Double IPA captures the classic West Coast intensity with a vibrant, modern hop quartet. The aromatic profile is dominated by the resinous pine of Chinook and the bright lime zest of Motueka Cryo. Citra and Galaxy contribute layers of ripe passionfruit, grapefruit, and peach, which weave through a lean, cracker-like malt backbone. Its appearance is a clear, brilliant gold under a persistent white head. On the palate, a firm, assertive bitterness defines the experience, leading to a crisp, bone-dry finish. At 8% ABV, a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth emerges, emphasizing the beer's punchy, hop-forward character without sacrificing drinkability.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper with brilliant clarity. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with fine-beaded lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma. Prominent notes of pine resin and spicy evergreen are layered over bright citrus lime, grapefruit, and tropical passionfruit. Malt is low, clean, and neutral, allowing the hops to dominate. Fermentation is very clean with a faint hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Strong hop flavors of grapefruit, mango, and zesty lime. A very high bitterness is assertive but clean, providing structure against a low, neutral malt character. The finish is notably dry and crisp, with a long, lingering resinous and citrus-peel aftertaste. No harshness or astringency.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is moderate-high. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present, enhancing the perceived strength without becoming hot.
