La Superbe

IZAI is a modern West Coast expression of the American IPA, defined by its assertive bitterness and a complex, multi-layered hop profile. A potent dry-hop addition of Galaxy and Strata leads the sensory experience with intense notes of passion fruit and strawberry, while Mosaic contributes layers of blueberry and resinous pine. Amarillo rounds out the bouquet with bright bursts of orange zest. The beer presents a clean, pale malt structure that stays out of the way, finishing remarkably dry and crisp. This allows the pungent tropical and dank qualities to resonate through a refreshing, hop-forward finish.

Appearance. Brilliant, clear gold color (7 SRM). Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves dense lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent passion fruit, mango, orange peel, and a distinct dank, resinous undertone. Very low, clean bready malt profile with no diacetyl and a clean fermentation character.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with bold flavors of pineapple, blueberry, and grapefruit pith. Bitterness is firm and assertive, supported by a neutral, grainy malt backbone. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering, resinous hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a crisp, smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel. A subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 6.9% ABV.
