Power is a bold Wild Specialty Beer that fuses the intensity of a Triple IPA with a vibrant lactic acidity. The sensory experience is dominated by an explosive hop profile featuring Citra, Sabro, and Cryo Ekuanot, which deliver a complex layer of lime zest, ripe pineapple, and creamy coconut. Despite its 10% ABV, the beer remains approachable through a sharp, clean sourness that cuts through the dense, bready malt backbone. Aromas of pithy grapefruit and tropical fruit esters meld with a subtle funk, leading to a palate where tartness and hop resins collide. It concludes with a warming, pithy finish and a lingering citrus sweetness.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber with a heavy, opaque haze. Thick, creamy off-white head with moderate retention and significant lacing, reflecting the high protein and hop load.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of tropical fruit and citrus. Prominent notes of coconut and cream from Sabro, layered with lime and mango. Cryo Ekuanot contributes herbal, pithy, and dark berry nuances. A sharp, clean lactic sourness is evident, accompanied by faint bready malt and a hint of alcohol.
Taste. High impact and complex. A sharp, citrus-like acidity leads, quickly followed by lush tropical hop flavors of pineapple and tangerine. Sabro provides a distinct coconut and cedar-like sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but softened by the acidic profile. The malt base is supportive and slightly sweet, balancing the high gravity. The finish is tart and warming, with a long, resinous, and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a velvety, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Significant alcohol warmth is present but integrated. Low to no astringency, with a mouth-coating richness from the hop oils.
