Jetlager is a contemporary German Pils that bridges the gap between European tradition and the vibrant California craft scene. This collaboration captures the crisp, clean soul of a lager while elevating it with an assertive dry-hop profile featuring Mosaic, Citra, and Simcoe. Aromas of tropical mango and bright grapefruit lead into a palate defined by cracker-like malt and a firm, resinous bitterness. The finish is exceptionally dry and refreshing, showcasing the citrus-forward character of Citra and the complex berry notes of Mosaic against a backdrop of classic lager precision, delivering a sharp, modern hop-forward experience.
Appearance. Deep yellow with brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, creamy white head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves intricate lacing.
Aroma. High aroma intensity dominated by modern hop character. Prominent notes of blueberry, mango, and passion fruit from Mosaic, complemented by Citra's citrus zest and a piney Simcoe undertone. Low grainy-sweet malt character and a very clean fermentation profile with no yeast-derived esters.
Taste. Initial flavors of toasted crackers and doughy malt are quickly overtaken by a wave of citrus and tropical fruit. The bitterness is firm and lingering, providing a sharp, hop-focused edge. Finishes very dry and clean with a resinous, piney aftertaste and a crisp, minerally bite.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a prickly, refreshing sensation. Very light alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its slightly elevated strength, though it remains smooth and highly drinkable without any astringency.
