This American Pale Ale presents a vibrant sensory profile defined by its unique botanical infusion and a sophisticated hop blend. Delicate elderflower notes lead the charge, seamlessly integrating with the resinous pine and citrus punch of Simcoe and Comet hops. The addition of Cryo Mosaic and Solero contributes a modern layer of lush tropical fruit, mango, and melon. It pours a clear gold with a persistent white head. The palate is refreshingly lean, balancing a clean, grainy malt backbone against a firm hop bitterness. The result is a crisp, aromatic finish where floral elderflower and pungent hops linger gracefully.
Appearance. Pale gold to deep yellow (5-7 SRM). Pours with a moderately large, creamy white head exhibiting good retention and fine lacing. Clarity is generally clear to brilliant.
Aroma. Moderately high hop aroma featuring distinct notes of grapefruit, pine, and tropical mango. The botanical elderflower presence is pronounced and floral. A low, neutral, grainy maltiness supports the aromatics, while fermentation remains clean with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus zest and tropical fruit from Solero and Mosaic, followed by the resinous, slightly wild character of Simcoe and Comet. The elderflower provides a unique floral sweetness that dries out quickly. Malt flavor is low and cracker-like. Bitterness is moderate to high, leading to a crisp, dry, and clean finish with a lingering floral aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a refreshing, prickly sensation on the palate. Alcohol warmth is negligible.
