This Double IPA presents a robust sensory journey led by its unique 100% Belgian-grown hop profile. The aroma is dominated by the piney and resinous character of Chinook, bolstered by the zesty grapefruit and wild citrus notes of Comet. Underlying these is the unmistakable signature of Sorachi Ace, contributing hints of lemon zest and a subtle herbal dill complexity. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt base supports an assertive bitterness that never becomes harsh. The finish is remarkably dry, allowing the interplay of spice and tropical citrus to linger. At 8% ABV, it offers a well-integrated warmth that enhances its medium-bodied, smooth mouthfeel.
Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with good clarity and a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves consistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring pine, resin, and grapefruit pith. Distinctive notes of lemon zest, light dill, and cracked black pepper are present. Low, clean, neutral grainy malt in the background with a subtle, well-integrated alcohol note.
