La Sirène Brewing Saisonette

This little saison is a masterclass in rustic elegance, presenting a vibrant, session-strength profile defined by the signature house yeast of La Sirene. It opens with a bright, peppery phenolic kick and a bouquet of orchard fruits like pear and lemon zest. The malt foundation is lean and crackery, providing a soft, grainy-sweet canvas for spicy and floral hops to shine. Effervescent and bone-dry, it delivers a sharp, refreshing bitterness that cleanses the palate. The artisanal provision beer character highlights a simple yet sophisticated grain bill, resulting in a highly attenuated, thirst-quenching Belgian Single with exceptional clarity and lively, prickly carbonation.
Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3-4 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a thick, billowy white head that persists well and leaves intricate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity yeast-derived aromatics featuring spicy black pepper phenols and fruity esters of pear, apple, and soft citrus. Supported by a light, bready, and crackery malt backdrop. Hop character is moderate, offering spicy and floral notes typical of Continental varieties.
Taste. Initial malty flavor is light with honeyed biscuit and crackery notes. Transitions into a firm, hoppy bitterness and a complex array of spicy phenols and lemon-like esters. The balance is decisively hop-forward and yeast-driven. The finish is extremely dry and crisp, with a lingering snap of floral hop flavor and a clean, refreshing aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with a smooth but highly carbonated, prickly texture. Exceptionally high attenuation contributes to a lean, crisp mouthfeel. No perceptible alcohol warmth.

Made with only water, grains, hops & our house yeast, this rustic yet simple beer always impresses no matter what the occasion. Its sheer refreshment factor coupled with the lower alcohol ensures this is a house fave amongst our team!
BREWERS NOTES
This is an absolute favourite for us at the brewery, we actually created it purely for our own selfish reasons back in 2010.. As modern day Saisonniers, we like to drink whilst we work, in moderation of course! and our Saisonette ticks all the boxes of what we want from an everyday beer. Sante!
